So here we are! Three weeks ago we had no idea we would be here at all when I got a call with a job offer in the lovely city of Avalon, California on Catalina island, 22 miles off the coast of LongBeach. A week after that we were packing everything up and whisked off to our new home town.

The first two weeks have been interesting and fun. Sue says that she feels like we are on a vacation. It doesn’t quite seem real. Every once in a while, it suddenly hits me: “Holy Cow! I am actually living on Catalina Island!”
Work has been VERY busy. There is an unbelievable amount of things that need to be done to get the store in proper working order and it is taking up a lot of extra time. It will pay off huge dividends in the end, and even though I am working overtime, I can come home at the end of the day and actually feel like I can relax for a change. Not constantly worrying about trying to scare up more business. The time I have with Sue and Jacob feels so much more real and high quality when I can focus just on them.

I’m glad you’re doing this blog. Between the blog and the web cam, I feel like I can have daily contact with you. Avalon looks amazing in the photo. We did spend many wonderful days there and have many happy memories. Looking forward to our visit in Nov. Jakey looks like a real beach boy! He has sure slimmed down from his pudgy baby days!!
Hey, you guys…I love the updates! The pictures are soooo precious. You are all so beautiful!! Sure miss you, but glad you are having this great family experience together. You are always in my prayers….and Dad’s,too! I know you’re being taken care of.
